Fans of Coronation Street will of course know that David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) has been riddled with guilt ever since he caused the car crash that’s left his brother Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) in a coma, which is set to leave the Bistro owner with permanent brain damage…
However, the only person who knows that David was behind the vendetta against Nick – which he of course carried out by way of revenge after learning the Nick slept with David’s wife Kylie – is Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan) and as we’ll see next week, she convinces him to confess all to Leanne!
But will he go through with it?
The drama begins on Monday 26th August, when Leanne, David and Tina go to a quiet table at the Bistro.
As they’re seated, Leanne asks David to tell her the truth, but of course, she’s convinced that the crash was caused because she called Nick’s mobile, when the fact is, it was caused when David unbuckled Nick’s seatbelt seconds before the van he and David were in was struck by a lorry.
So as Leanne beseeches David to tell her what really happened, and says, “I know what you’re going to say” thinking that he’ll tell her it was her call that prompted the crash, David replies, “I really don’t think you do…”
Will he tell her that he was behind all of her and Nick’s recent misfortunes? And if he does, will he tell her why he waged a campaign of revenge?
